"The only people up at 3 am are in love, lonely, drunk, or all three."
"We mature with the damage, not with the years."
"There are years that ask questions and years that answer."
this is a question i’ve asked myself countless times as of late. when a situation is stressful and i’m about to let myself freak out, i take a step back and ask myself: “is this situation really going to matter in a year?” if not, i shrug it off. if so, i take appropriate steps to correct the situation and move on. i’m not perfect, but this one question has helped me immensely. why worry? why get angry? why be miserable? the things we get upset about on a daily basis most likely won’t matter a week from now, let alone a year from now. perspective is key. don’t sweat the small stuff, and the big stuff won’t seem as scary.
One day, whether you
you will stumble upon
someone who will start
a fire in you that cannot die.
However, the saddest,
most awful truth
you will ever come to find––
is they are not always
with whom we spend our lives.
i was happily scrolling down and when i saw this my face dropped and i swear my heart stopped for a while. just look at this.
look at it. it’s so pure yet it shows affection. it’s so simple yet it holds many feelings. i really, really want to touch someone’s hand like this and i hope they don’t pull it away.
i love this.
